In Tamil Nadu, retail and wholesale drug-licence numbers typically carry the TN state prefix. Licences are issued under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 — Form 20/21 for retail and Form 20B/21B for wholesale — so a supplier's paperwork should name both the form and the TN number you can check here.
